FBMC services grow in Texas
Tallahassee, Fla. – FBMC Benefits Management Inc., an award-winning employee benefit consultant and third-party administrator, is expanding its services to provide a unique new resource for Texas School Districts that will be led by an experienced former Texas Independent School District business manager.
“We were founded with a goal of protecting local School District employees and look forward to bringing our more than 40 years of experience supporting educators in Florida to Texas with an innovative solution designed to meet their specific needs,” said FBMC President and CEO David Faulkenberry.
With the hiring of Emily Faimoa, a former business manager, CFO and business consultant, who has more than a decade of Texas Independent School District point of view, FBMC has designed a much-needed business service and process improvement that will address common frustrations with current third-party administrative services.
This new business service will help districts streamline payroll updates which can create challenges for districts yearly with employee benefit changes. It also offers improved processes to support monthly payroll deduction and premium payment of employee benefit plans.
Districts have long shared frustrations with these third-party services. FBMC’s experience providing these services paired with the insightful views from someone who has spent more than a decade supporting these activities as a Texas district employee, provides a solution that is the first of its kind in Texas.
And it couldn’t come at a better time as many Texas Independent School Districts are preparing for a major software upgrade from TxEIS to Ascender in the summer of 2021.
“We felt it was time to understand the districts’ needs from a new perspective,” Faulkenberry said. “We know that Emily is the right person to lead this endeavor and look forward to once again solving a need that others have overlooked.”
