Community Service Team
Charitable giving and community involvement are key components of FBMC’s culture. We budget to actively participate in our client and local communities.
A long-standing practice and corporate belief has been to donate time, energy and resources to charitable activities within the communities we serve. FBMC gives a percentage of its profits to many groups in our local community and our clients’ communities, including Second Harvest Food Bank, the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House and Big Bend Hospice.
We offer all regular full-time and part-time employees medical, dental, and vision plans with coverage levels ranging from individual to family. To offset the out-of-pocket cost of pre-tax benefits, we contribute flex dollars based on an employee’s elected coverage and years of service. Employees may choose to waive or “opt-out” of medical coverage with proof of other coverage. In addition, we cover all regular full-time and part-time employees with Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance equivalent to one times (1x) the employee’s salary.
Eligible participants may choose to contribute pre-tax 401(k) contributions of up to $18,000. At our discretion, the Board of Directors may determine a matching contribution. Currently, we match each employee’s 401(k) contributions 50 cents on the dollar up to 4% of the employee’s salary.
The Employee Stock Ownership Plan
The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) provides employees, with one year of service or more, stock ownership in the company. The Company makes contributions to the ESOP, currently approximately 3% of total salaries.
